Olimpia Meola Ferrucci, 98, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 9th, 2021 at Yale New Haven Hospital/St. Raphael campus with her family by her side.  She was the beloved wife of the late Armando Ferrucci.  Olimpia was born in Alvignanello Province of Caserta, Italy on November 20th, 1923 and was the daughter of the late Amedeo and Maddalena DellaMorte Meola.  She had worked for Henry Richards Handbag Company of Hamden for many years until her retirement.  Olimpia enjoyed gardening and making wine with her husband, cooking and baking (especially bread, angel wings and tarallis), she loved to sing and dance but most of all, Olimpia enjoyed being with her family who she loved unconditionally.  Mother of Peter Ferrucci, Immaculata Ferrucci and the late Pierina Ferrucci.  Mother-in-law of Achille Ferrucci.  Grandmother of Celeste Stellato (Anthony), Luisa Dorough (Jarrett), Patrizia Lorenti (Frank) and Armando Ferrucci. Great-Grandmother of Gabriella Lorenti, Isabella Stellato and Olivia Lorenti.  Predeceased by a sister Laura Giano and brothers Armando and Francesco Meola.

The visiting hours will be Monday, Dec. 13th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven on Tuesday morning, Dec. 14th at 10:00.  Entombment will follow in the All Saints Mausoleum.
