Pasquale G. Delmonaco, 79, of New Haven, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Gaylord Hospital, Wallingford with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 58 years to Christina Mosca Delmonaco. Pasquale was born in Gioia Sannitica, Province of Caserta, Italy on July 10, 1939 and was the son of the late Armando and Maria Fetta Delmonaco. He was co-owner of many Italian Importing’s years ago and later was the owner and operator of the former Rose’s Market of West Haven. Pasquale was a jack-of-all-trades and enjoyed his gardening especially flowers. Father of Linda (Stephen) Belli, Sheila Delmonaco, Lorraine (Richard) Pellegrino, Diane and Patty Delmonaco. Grandfather of Steven and Gabriella Belli, Ricky, Briana and David Pellegrino. Brother of Luigi (Assunta) Delmonaco, Filomena (the late Joseph) DiBuccio, Rita (Leno) Bauco, Lucia (Leo) Ciocca, Maria Durante and Anthony (Anna) Delmonaco.
The visiting hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 pm in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Family and friends may go directly to St. Bernadette Church, 385 Townsend Avenue, New Haven on Saturday morning at 11:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in the All Saints Mausoleum. Should friends desire, contributions in memory of Pasquale G. Delmonaco can be made to the Closer to Free Fund, which jointly supports Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven and Yale Cancer Center.
