Sad to hear of the loss of a wonderful woman. I had the honor to have worked
closely and daily for a number of years with Pat. I was a Special Ed teacher at North
Haven Middle School and Pat was my para-teacher and close confidant. She was
the epitome of a true professional with her personal care for our students. We shared
a lot of laughs and much work in our endeavors for giving the best education to our
students. She was highly respected by her fellow teachers , and truly
loved by the many students over her years of giving. Will miss you very much. Dan Stamper
To the Mappa family, I am so sorry for your loss. I was priviledged to work with Mrs. Mappa at North Haven Middle School. Her love, attention, caring and compassion for students always shined through. I often kidded her, though I was serious, that she could and should write a book of her many years of experience working with young people. Her knowledge, insight and wisdom of working with even the most challenging students was very special, powerful and effective. Mrs. Mappa was a class act and will be missed by all her knew her.
