Patricia M. Farina Piscitelli, 87, of East Haven, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 26th, 2022, at Yale New Haven Hospital with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Gabriel F. Piscitelli for 53 years. Patricia was born in New Haven on August 12, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Mary Santarcangelo Farina and sister of Amy Farina. She graduated from Wilbur Cross High School class of 1952, worked in the North Haven School System while her children attended school and later in the Finance Department for the Town of North Haven. Patricia attended St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish in East Haven where she was a member of the prayer shawl ministry. Patricia was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and loyal friend. An avid reader, Mahjong player and bridge partner, Patricia never let her mind rest. She was a master of multitasking–the only person capable of knitting a blanket while binging an entire Netflix series on her iPad, all with a pot of the world’s best meatballs simmering on the stove. Patricia is survived by her children Debbie Riley, Tina (Dan) Genga, Michael (Noreen) Piscitelli, and Mary-Beth (Marty) Harrigan; her grandchildren Patrick, Justine, Niki, Krysse, Joseph, Michael, Rachel, Matthew and Daniel; her great-grandchildren Domenic, David, Elliot, Dalia, and Theo.
The visiting hours will be 4 to 7 pm on Thursday March 3rd at the Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Pio of Pietrelcina at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 355 Foxon Road, East Haven on Friday morning, March 4th at 10:00 am to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in All Saints Mausoleum. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, CT 06492.

Sending prayers and heartfelt condolences to cousin Patti’s children and grandchildren at this most difficult time. She was one of the nicest people we ever had the privilege of knowing and I know she is now reunited with Gabe in heaven. They were a special couple. Hoping memories of your dear mother and grandmother will always fill your hearts with her love. With love, Fred and Janice Santa
