Patrick J. Goedert, 81, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at the Mid-State Medical Center, Meriden. He was the husband of the late Carol Boyce Goedert. Mr. Goedert was born in Oak Park, Illinois on May 22, 1940 and was the son of the late Philip and Mary E. Neligan Goedert; a graduate of St. Joseph College in Indiana, he was the owner and operator of the former Goedert Group for many years until his retirement. Patrick had served in the U.S. Army Reserves during the Vietnam era; was an active model railroader being a member of the Valley HO Track and was also a “Friend of Bills”. Brother of Phillis Wilson, Jeanne Goedert and Dr. Edmund R. (Paula) Goedert. Uncle of Laura Marie (Trey) Murtaugh, David Wilson, Robert, and John Goedert. Also survived by her sister-in-law Janice Boyce.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday, morning, Nov. 18th at 11:00 in the Faith United Methodist Church, 81 Clintonville Road., North Haven. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Beaverdale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith United Methodist Church.
