Paul Brian Thorn, 61, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Yale New Haven Hospital with his family by his side. Paul was born in Cold Spring, New York on January 10, 1958 and was the son of the late Rev. Ralph S. and Marion Thorn, Jr. He was a Senior IT Systems Analyst at Yale University for forty-five years, before retiring in January 2019, and was the youngest Data Center Staff member when he joined Yale in 1974. As a child her enjoyed spending his summers in Montauk. He attended High School in the Community in New Haven and was an EMT for CT Ambulance. Some of his favorite hobbies were skiing, fishing, boating and water skiing. He enjoyed spending his weekends at his trailer in Bantam, CT, at Cozy Hills Campground, and loved family dinners which were very important to him. Loving Father of Cassi (Robert) Clough. Grandfather to James and Izzie Clough. Predeceased by his sisters Pamela Reader and Nan Thorn-Clements. Brother of Jeff (Norma) Thorn, Ed (Shelia) Nabors and the Uncle of Matt Clements and great-uncle to Olive Clements. Also survived by his fur baby Kinley, whom he rescued from Tennessee.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Cassi Robert James and Izzy I am so sorry for your lose. He was a special guy that could talk to u like he new u for yrs when I went to birthday parties for the kids. Give yourselves time to heal and May Your Dad be in the hands of God that will give him rest

I only got to know Paul briefly, but I knew of him for a long time through family. The short amount of time I spent with him he spoke very proudly of Cassie and Rob and Izzy and James. I wish him eternal peace with those he loved that will meet
No words can express how I feel about Paul who I’ve known for over fifty years. He was my friend, my Brother. A person who I’d trust with my life. We shared growing up as men and enjoyed the best of life. Me he Rest In Peace, one day we’ll meet again… love you Bra!
