Paul E. Lesnieski, 76, of Wallingford, formerly of Cheshire for 35 years, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, April 21, 2022, with his family by his side.  He was the beloved husband of 48 years to Barbara “Rocky” Barraco Lesnieski.  Paul was born in Waterbury on October 4, 1945 and was the son of the late Alexander and Mary Fronczak Lesnieski.  He grew up in New Haven and West Haven, was a 1964 West Haven High School graduate.  Paul served his country faithfully in the US Army from 1965 to 1968 and after earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of New Haven in 1972.  Paul worked as a Sales Representative for Conway Transportation for many years until his retirement. In his younger days he loved to hunt, fish and boating.  Paul enjoyed playing cards, entering many setback tournaments, was an avid golfer and had a Hole-In-One at the Laurel View Golf Course, Hamden. Father of Paul Jason Lesnieski and Lisa Lesnieski Tsolis (Mike Shook). Grandfather of Ava Mae Tsolis. Brother of Daniel F. Lesnieski, the late Alexandra M. Germano and Marcia H. Colandro (Pat).  Brother-in-law of Joseph Barraco (Mary).  Also survived by many nieces, nephews and his faithful companion, his dog Sadie. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Ward and the Hospice home care team for the excellent care and comfort.

The visiting hours will be Monday, April 25th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven on Tuesday morning, April 26th at 10:00 AM.  Interment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Parkinson’s Foundation or American Heart Association.
