Paul H. Abel, 76, of Guilford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Apple Rehab Laurel Woods, East Haven. He was born in New Haven on September 22, 1945 and was the son of the late Oliver and Florence Okoniewski Abel. Paul served his country faithfully in the US Air Force. He attended the Spartan School of Aeronautics and Technology and later worked at Pratt and Whitney as an engine tester for 44 years until his retirement. Paul is survived by his loving aunt Elizabeth Okoniewski and many cousins. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Paul’s neighbor Frank Ursone for his care and compassion.
The visiting hours will be on Tuesday morning, July 19th from 10:00 to 11:30 at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A service will be conducted in the funeral home at 11:30. Interment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
