Paul Robert Rueger, 84, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Yale New Haven Hospital with his family by his side.  He was the beloved husband of 55 years to Judith Mosebach Rueger.  Paul was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 8th, 1936 and was the son of the late Herman W. and Helene Winnefeld Rueger.  He earned a bachelor’s degree from Millersville State College in Pennsylvania, and a master’s degree from Cranbrook Academy of Arts in Michigan.  Paul was a Professor at Southern Connecticut State University in the Silversmith Jewelry Art Department for many years until his retirement.  He enjoyed fishing, farming at his “Raspberry Farm”, hunting and was a longtime member of Bear Meadows Sunset Hunting Camp in Pennsylvania. Most of all, Paul enjoyed spending time with his family who he loved unconditionally.  Father of Lisa Rueger Hill and her husband David Christopher Hill, and Jason H. Rueger. Grandfather of Cari Elizabeth Hill and Caitlyn Alyssa Hill.  Brother of Herman Albert Rueger.
