Peter A. Femniak, Jr., 57, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford with his family by his side. Peter was born in New Haven on February 7, 1961 and was the son of the late Peter A. and Lucille B. Comtois Femniak. He was a graduate of North Haven High School and had worked as a Binder in the printing industry for many years and later was a trainer of school bus drivers for the M&J Bus Company. Peter was a real sports enthusiast having played baseball, hockey and was a NY Jets and Chicago Blackhawks fan. He was a great fan of the musical group KISS. Peter really enjoyed fishing, jogging and hiking with his faithful canine companion Roxie. He was the beloved father of Carly Femniak. Brother of Dorothy Laudicina, Daniel (Marylou) Femniak, Mary Femniak and Jean (Jalloul) Montacer. Also survived by his former wife Karen Femniak, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Peter’s Life will be held on Sunday, August 12th from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the American Legion Post #76 Hall, 20 Church Street, North Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Carly Femniak Education Fund, P.O. Box 1783, Wallingford, CT 06492.

I was sad to hear of the passing of Peter. Even though I knew him briefly, back in high school, I will always remember his outgoing personality. We played a couple of times together when we were both in different bands and unfortunately lost touch through the years. My condolences to his family and close friends, as his life was taken too soon.
Carly my prayers are with you and your family. I will always remember talking to your dad at the hockey games he was very proud of you!! Know that you have many people who are here for you!

We shared a bond in high school over our love of KISS and became good friends. Pete was always so so sweet and kind. We reconnected on facebook and I am so very sorry for the loss of this lovely man and my classmate. May his family have peace in knowing he is loved and remembered as a gentle and special person.
