Philip H. Mairano, 96, of East Haven, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, June 19th. He was the beloved husband of the late Jennie Calabro Mairano. Philip was born in New Haven on July 4, 1924 and was the son of the late Francesco and Florinda Sicardi Mairano. He had worked as an Operating Engineer for many years with the Operating Engineers Local #478. Philip was known as a “Dedicated Gardener” and was a member of the St. Sebastian Club in Ansonia. Father of Michael P. Mairano (Cynthia) and Pamela Saccu (Robert). Grandfather of Jason Siglinger (Tina), Haley Saglinger, Nicole Lynn (Michael) and Philip Mairano. Great-Grandfather of Floyd Philip Siglinger and Bryce Mairano. Predeceased by his brother Frank Mairano.
The visiting hour will be Thursday morning, June 24th from 9:00 to 10:00 at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Catholic Service will be conducted in the funeral home at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow in the Mt. Saint Peter Mausoleum, Derby.
