Phillip Samuel Burch, 75, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 25th, 2022 at CT Hospice in Branford. Born in Washington D.C on January 25th, 1947, son of the late Ethel L. Bernard and Elmer L. Burch. He graduated from Wilbur Cross High School in 1965. Phil served his country faithfully in the US Navy during the Vietnam era, and was awarded the National Defense Service medal and the Republic of Vietnam Service medal. Phil worked as a foreman at Roebic Laboratories in Orange for the majority of his career. He leaves his three children, Jessica Vitale and husband Burt of Wallingford, Jason Burch and his fiancée Rachael Tremblay of Meriden, Melissa Burch of Wallingford and former daughter-in-law Victoria Burch, also of Wallingford. He was the proud grandfather of Nicholas and Ryan Vitale and Madilyn and Jason Burch. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Phil will be greatly missed by all.
There will be no visiting hours. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In Phil’s memory, the family requests that an act of kindness to someone in need may be made in honor of his life.
Our VCH, Veterans Coffee House meets monthly at the Wlfd Senior Center which not only gives our Vets the chance to socialize but also take part in enjoying a guest speaker which are related to military topics, slide presentations and Q&A. At this very difficult time, our group would like to honor the loss of Phillip Burch as a fallen brother. Our military Veterans send out their heartfelt condolences to the Burch family and friends. As an Navy Veteran, he had joined an elite group of honorable men and our Country will forever be in his debt.
