Raymond Latini, 89, of Northford, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Yale-New Haven Hospital/St. Raphael campus with his family by his side. He was the loving husband of Elaine Martingano Latini. Raymond was born in New Haven on July 6, 1928 and was the son of the late Settimio and Lydia Gemmati Latini. He serviced his country faithfully in the US Army as a military police officer during the Korean War. Raymond worked as a manager for Glen Wood Drive-in for many years. He enjoyed spending time at the casino and was an avid New York Yankees, New York Giants and UCONN women’s basketball fan. Step father of Cheryl Yotch, Gayle (Pete) Yotch and Nanci Aponte. Grandfather of Kaeleigh Austen and Cameron Yotch. Predeceased by his sister Doris DeFrancesco, brothers Guy and Jim Latini and his dog Maxine.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Thursday morning at 10:30. Family and friends may call from 9:00 until time of service. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project PO Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.

Ray was a terrific grandfather to Kaeleigh, for which I am eternally grateful. His smile will be missed. May you find peace.

So sorry to hear of his passing. I remember him at Glenwood and visiting Aunt Doris with my mom and dad so many years ago.
