Robert E. Santoro, 83, of East Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at his home with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 62 years to Pat Santoro. Robert was born in New Haven on March 1, 1938 and was the son of the late Louis and Jean D’Ambrosi Santoro. He served his country faithfully in the US Army and later worked as a truck driver for Thurston Foods Inc. for many years until his retirement. Robert enjoyed fishing, trips to the casino, dinner with family and most of all his grandchildren whom he loved unconditionally. Father of Rhonda (Mark) Schwartz and Scott Santoro. Grandfather of Matthew and Brandon Schwartz, Kortney Santoro, Gianna and Olivia Santoro. Great-grandfather of Santino. Predeceased by his beloved sister Joan Pacileo.
The visiting hours will be Thursday, Jan. 6th at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. A service will be conducted in the funeral home at 11:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
