Robert F. Gebhardt, Jr., 71, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at the MidState Medical Center, Meriden. He was the beloved husband of Albert L. Lombardi. Robert was born in Bethesda, Maryland on April 18th, 1950 and was the oldest son of the late Robert F. Gebhardt, Sr. and Margaret Ann Stazel Gebhardt. He served his country faithfully in the US Navy. Robert was a Supervisor at American Metal Fabricators in Prince Fredrick, MD and later had worked as Lead Maintainer for Heritage Village in Southbury. Robert enjoyed gardening, carpentry, cooking but most of all, spending time with his family who he loved unconditionally. Father of Robert A. and William S. Gebhardt. Grandfather of Spencer S., Sonja F.M. and Aliveya L. Gebhardt. Brother of Maria Wilde, Sharon Hayes and Erich (Beth) Gebhardt. Loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews, a couple of which were as close as his own children.
A service will be conducted in The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, North Haven on Wednesday morning, Feb. 9th at 11:00. Family and friends may call one hour prior to time of service.
Bob was a wonderful man. We are grateful we got to know him and spend some time just talking at the Christmas parties we always look forward to. Al no words can help you through this but you are a dear friend and we are always here for you.

So sorry to hear about Bob’s passing. I knew Bob working at Heritage Village for many years. Always a Gentleman and very helpful. Sending my prayers to Rob and Will. RIP Bob.
