Robert H. Miessau, 86, of Northford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 19, 2018 with his family by his side. He was the husband of 64 years to his beloved Clarisse Pieper Miessau whom he started to date when they were in the 8th grade. Robert was born in New Haven on March 23, 1932 and was the son of the late Henry Reubin Miessau and Sarah A. Butler Miessau. He served his country faithfully in the US Navy during the Korean War on the U.S.S. Turner. Robert had worked for the SNET Company for 30 years until his retirement in 1987. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing and hunting. Father of Robert H. Miessau, Jr. and his wife Deborah. Brother of Richard Miessau and his wife Lillian, William Miessau and his wife Linda, and the late Jack and James Miessau. Brother-in-law of Vinia and Carol Miessau.
Family and friends may call at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue on Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:30. A Graveside Service will follow in All Saints Cemetery at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, 703 Whitney Avenue, New Haven, CT 06511

So sorry to hear about Uncle Bob passing. He was a very kind, gentle , smart person. I have such fond memories of spend time at Uncle Bob and Aunt Clarisse’s home. So glad that we got to see him last year. My heart and prayers go out to Aunt Clarisse and Bobby, Deb and the rest of the family.
