Robert “Robbie” Milone, 57, of Wallingford, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born in New Haven on February 6, 1960 and was the son of Josephine K. Marcucci Milone and the late Pasquale J. Milone. Robbie was the former owner of the Fireside Restaurant and bar; and longtime bartender for the former 500 Blake Street, the former Delmonaco’s Restaurant, both in New Haven, Café Allegre, Madison and Woodwinds, Branford. Robbie was a basketball enthusiast on and off the court; he was All State for North Haven High School and later played at Adelphi University, New York. Loving father of Joseph A. Milone. Also survived by the love of his life Lisa Milone and a nephew Kipp Milone. Predeceased by his brother Richard Milone. Robbie was unique, known to many at” Mr. Personality”, he was loved by many and will be truly missed.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Thursday morning at 11:00. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 11:30. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm.

Robbie was a great teammate and friend. From Center School to North Haven High. I seen some great plays and Robbie had a few great ones to remember.
I will always remember Robbie with a basketball glued to his hand, playing year-round in gyms and on the outdoor courts in the center of North Haven. He had such a deep love of the game. Very unselfish, always with a smile on his face. May he RIP. Prayers to his family and friends.

Unbelievably sad news.
Robbie was my high school sweetheart and always had a way of making me laugh at the silliest things. We connected several yrs ago & he was exactly the same – such a sweet, gentle soul who spoke of his son with great pride.
