Roberta A. Solkoske Whitcher, 77, of Northford passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 28th, 2023 at Yale New Haven Hospital/St. Raphael campus. She was the beloved wife of 59 years to Frank L. Whitcher. Roberta was born in New Haven on February 11, 1945 and was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Alyce Murray Solkoske. She had worked as an Agent for the Svensen Insurance Agency of Woodbridge. Roberta enjoyed traveling and taking frequent trips to the casino. Sister of JoAnn Lenihan, Joyce Rennie (Ernest) and the late Robert Solkoske which was her twin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The visiting hours will be Friday, Feb. 3rd from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A brief prayer service will be held at 3:00 PM in the funeral home. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook Street, I-91 Tech Ctr.#3, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
