Robin “Bird” Lipka Sr., age 59, formerly of New Haven passed away early morning Friday, March 20, 2020 in the comfort of his home. Born November 28, 1960 to Mary and Robert Lipka, Robin graduated from East Haven High School and went on to receive his Masters in English Literature from Columbia University. After college, Robin went on to become a truck driver in order pay off his massive student debt from the liberals that run the education program. Robin enjoyed spending the summers at Hidden Acres campground with his family who he loved more than life, as well as riding his Harley and reminiscing on his Rock and Roll youth his son and brother. He is predeceased in death by his mother, Mary Lipka. Robin is survived by his father; Robert Lipka, brothers; Ronald, Bobby, and Mark, as well as his sister Cathy. He is also survived by his son, Robin Lipka Jr. who he loved deeply, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by friends, family and all that knew him. Rock the heavens Robin.
The family also wanted to express their extreme gratitude and admiration to Lisa Thomas, for taking the most exceptional care of Robin. Your strength and heart are lengths to strive for.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside funeral service on Monday afternoon, March 23, 2020 at 1:00 in the Center Cemetery, Elm Street, North Haven. There will be no visiting hours.
