I worked with Roger for many years and considered him a mentor and one of the most giving and kindest people I knew. He always used to kid me that i might swim faster than him in a sprint, but he’d kill me at a distance. Just a really great guy to be around.
So sorry for your loss
Rodger was a pure joy to work with and just great fun to be around. Beloved and respected by both colleagues and customers, his kindness and sense of humor brought people together. Rodger struggled with weight issues most of his working career but made light of it by insisting he kept two wardrobes, one for the heavy Rodger and one for the less heavy Rodger.
All that knew Rodger have nothing but fond memories. Rest in peace.

I have many fond memories of Rodger. Work, football at Giants Stadium and many many lunches on Friday afternoon, I will sorely miss my best friend. RIP Rodge!!!!!
Brother in law and friend…the guy who wasn’t sure of the difference between “flan” and “flem”. Sports nut, great conversationalist, unfailing sense of humor and the guy who taught all our kids some questionable songs. I’ll miss all that. But our loss is Heaven’s gain, because I’m sure our great communicator is standing at the pearly gates with a huge smile, a handshake and a welcome home to all who come after him. Love ya, Rodge….rest in peace
Irene:
I’m so sorry for your loss.
Rodger was a great boss of mine at Texaco back in 1968 and a terrific friend during the years since then.
I will miss him.
Kevin
Irene and family, I am so sorry to hear of Rodger’s passing. Will remember times spent in Aruba, Turkey dinners, great conversations and fun times. He is missed.
Rog and I were teenage friends. College and life took us separate ways. I las t saw him a few years ago at Mascoma lake, at mutual friends. So long Rog. We had fun together. My sympathy to Irene and their children,
Condolences to you and the family
It was an absolute blessing to have known Rodger through work and as a friend after we both retired. He was a great colleague, teacher and manager, but his sense of humor and kindness was second to none and lets not forget that smile and laugh – it was contagious. I will always remember Rodger.
So sorry for the passing of Roger… what a great neighbor and friend. He was so kind to my son Ken when he was growing up and so supportive of me during my toughest years as a single Dad. WIll always remember our greeting each other… Hi Rog … how you doing Rog… We always got a good laugh that we had the same first name… a wonderful man loved by our whole family..

Rodger was truly the King of the Morning Swim Group! We all miss him at the pool. It is not the same without him. Rodger always organized the annual Christmas Breakfast for all of us to thank the lifeguards for keeping their eyes on us. Also, thank you to Rodger for organizing the Tsunami Masters Swim Team back in the day, which enabled us to improve our swimming together. So, we are forever grateful to you for that. By the way, Rodger was one helluva strong swimmer in his day! My condolences on your loss.
