Ronald (Ronnie) James Carriero, 82, passed away peacefully at his home in North Haven, CT on February 27, 2021, with his family by his side.  Ronnie was born to the late Angelo and Clara (Delfino) Carriero on February 12, 1939 in Stamford, CT.  Ronnie grew up in and had wonderful memories and stories of the Cove. He raised his family in Norwalk before retiring from Genovese/O&G Industries and moving to Pompano Beach, Florida.
Ronnie was an easy-going man with a very kind heart.  He loved the sun and the water and spent endless time on the Fort Lauderdale beach.   He loved to play golf, watch the Yankees and cruise around in his latest sports car.  Memories of Ronnie making gravy and meatballs, tackling outdoor projects, and joyfully putting the last piece in a large puzzle will stay with us always. Above all, he was devoted to his daughters and grandchildren who were the center of his world.  He was happiest when his family was all together enjoying a meal, especially if lasagna or pizza fritta were on the menu. Ronnie’s quiet manner, quick smile, many Facebook posts and sense of humor will be greatly missed. Ronnie is survived by his daughters Debbie and Dana, and sons in law, James Tiano and Darren Oliver, all of North Haven, CT.  He leaves behind his beloved grandchildren who made him so proud and brought him so much joy, Kelly and James Tiano jr, and Jackson Oliver. He also leaves behind his beloved sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Paul Tamborino, nieces, nephews and many friends.  He was predeceased by his brother Maurio (Marc) Carriero and his former wife Peggy Carriero.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The Havens family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, North Haven, CT.
