Rosalie J. Giannini Franchi, 84, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 31st, 2023 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Rosalie was born in North Haven on April 6, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Guido and Lillian Nelson Giannini. She had worked for Honeywell of Northford and later as a van driver for M & J Bus Company. Rosalie enjoyed taking rides in the car, was a member of the North Haven Senior Center, most of all she enjoyed being with family especially her grandson who she loved unconditionally. Mother of Gary, Mark and Michael Simmons and the late Regina Munroe. Mother-in-law of Adam Munroe. Sister of Elaine Giannini and Dolores Bystrack, Grandmother of John Munroe. Predeceased by her brother-in-law Donald Bystrack.
The visiting hours will be Wednesday, Feb.8th from 9:30 to 11:30 at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven at 12 noon. Interment will follow in the North Haven Center Cemetery.
