Rosario Termine, 81, of Middletown passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 3rd, 2022 at Middlesex Hospital, Middletown with his loving family by his side.  He was the beloved husband of 54 years to Candida Merlino Termine.  Rosario was born in Melilli, Province of Syracuse, Sicily, Italy on August 9, 1941 and was the son of the late Angelo and Giuseppina Pitruzzello Termine.  Rosario came to this country at the age of 18 settling in Middletown.  A master tailor by trade with over 70 years of experience, Rosario had worked for the former G. Fox & Co., Sage-Allen and later was the owner and operator of Rosario’s Tuxedo & Alterations on Main Street, Middletown with his wife. A gifted musician, he played the clarinet and saxophone for the symphony in Italy and had his own band in the Middletown. Rosario was a big fan of opera music, soccer and boxing.  Loving father of Josie Bafumi (Nick), Tina Montanaro (Aldo) and Angelo Termine (Lisa).  Loving grandfather of Gabriella and Massimo Montanaro, Brianna, Lorenzo and Matteo Bafumi.

The visiting hours will be Monday, Nov. 7th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, North Haven.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, 155 Washington Street, Middletown on Tuesday morning, Nov. 8th at 10:00.  Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.  Special thanks to our nurse aids and Middlesex Hospital.  Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to American Stroke Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, CT 06492
