Rose B. Russo Paturzo, 94, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at her daughter’s home in Hamden with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 33 years to the late Louis N. Paturzo. Rose was born in New Haven on December 20, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Josephine Criscio Russo. She enjoyed bowling, dancing, watching the UCONN Women’s basketball and the New York Yankees, but most of all, Rose enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she loved unconditionally. Mother of Connie Tyrrell (David), Louis N. Paturzo, Jr. (Sharron) and Theresa Ciarleglio (Sal). Grandmother of Steven Tyrrell (Jennifer), Kelly Rainey (John), Tracy Tyrrell, Louis N. Paturzo III (Tawnya) Danielle Karcz (Brian), Michael and Kimberly Ciarleglio. Great grandmother of Gavin, Evelyn, Patrick, Anna, Peyton, Vincent, Kayla, Elijah, and Isaiah. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Predeceased by her siblings, Ralph Russo, Florence Morro, Pat Russo, Josephine Torino, and Salvatore Russo.
Family and friends may call from 9:30 to 11:30 on Wednesday morning, June 24th, 2020 at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 12 noon in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at Saint Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven. Burial will immediately follow the mass in All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Avenue, North Haven.
