Rose C. Mangiulli 90, of Northford, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 24, 2017 at her home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Mangiulli for 26 years. Rose was born in New Haven on February 26, 1926; daughter of the late Secondo and Galliope Tozzi Crescenzi. Mother of Denise and Gary Mangiulli. Mother in law of Joyce Harvey Mangiulli. Grandmother of Christine and Michael Mangiulli. Sister of the late Dominic (Cris) Crescenzi, Nella Virgulto, Julia Carrano, Nancy Ginnetti, Ida Scalia, Frank, Gino (Horse), Ralph (Pony) and Victoria Crescenzi. Prior to her retirement, Rose was a clerk at the North Haven Public Library. We will miss your witty sense of humor and one-liners, but most of all we will miss your courage, resilience, generosity, selflessness and unconditional love.
The visiting hours will be from 5 to 8 pm on Tuesday at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Monica’s Church, 1331 Middletown Avenue Northford on Wednesday morning at 11:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.
Our thoughts and prayers for all of you during a difficult time.
Denise & Gary,
Your mother was wonderful, kind hearted & funny. The kids loved to visit with her. We were all very fortunate to live next to you for many years. When we moved, the hardest part was not living next to Rose & Denise. We will miss Rose! Heaven received an amazing angel this weekend.
