Rose DiBiaso DeLucia, 85, of Hamden, formerly of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 23rd, 2021 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the beloved wife of 55 years to the late Anthony R. DeLucia, Sr. Rose was born in New Haven on December 9, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Josephine Annunziata DiBiaso. She had worked for the former Chapel Photo and later for US Surgical until her retirement. Rose enjoyed playing bingo, taking frequent trips to the casino, doing jigsaw puzzles and lottery scratch tickets. Rose was a loving and caring person, always there to help anyone in need; she loved her family unconditionally and one of the last great highlights in her life is when she flew to Las Vegas almost eight years ago for the birth of her first great granddaughter. Mother of Anthony (Phyllis) DeLucia, Jr., James DeLucia, and Thomas (Maritza) DeLucia. Grandmother of Christina and Anthony DeLucia III, Salvatore (Alexandra) DeLucia, Zachary (Megan) DeLucia, Laura, James, Chelsea, Thomas, Jr. and Tatyanna DeLucia. Great-Grandmother of Olivia, Emma, and Dante DeLucia. Sister of Frank Cappeloni, Mary Ferraro, Carmella Castlevetro, Jane Amedola-Wnek (Thomas) Anna DeMatteo and the late Frank, Louis and Phillip DiBiaso, Jerry and Anthony Cappeloni, Dominic DiBiaso. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Avenue, Hamden on Wednesday morning, May 26th at 11:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the CT Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.
