Rose Pastore DiPalma, 103, of North Haven, formerly of East Haven for many years, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Hamden Health Care Center with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Anthony DiPalma. Rose was born in New Haven on June 11, 1915 and was the daughter of the late Frank and Assunta Giammattei Pastore. Rose had worked for the former Monarch Laundry and the former DiPalma’s Market. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus/San Salvador Council Ladies Auxiliary. Rose was an excellent cook, enjoyed playing bingo and cards especially pinochle and poker. Mother of Joseph (Claudia) DiPalma, Patricia DiPalma Kipfer, and the late Anthony “Butch” DiPalma, Jr. and Elizabeth “Billie” Mizger. Sister of Pat Sandella and the late Jennie Fazzone, Anna Goglia, Diana, Angelina, Lucy and James Pastore. Also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a niece, a nephew, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Family and friends may call at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue on Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 11:00. A graveside service will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
