Rose S. Malin Amarante, 91, of North Haven, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Amarante. Rose was born in New Haven on July 3, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Anna Ciaburri Malin, and her second mother Louise Pascucelli Malin. She had worked for the former Uhl Cigars for 25 years and later for the former Harold’s Formal Wear. Rose was a member of the former Montowese Women’s Club. Mother of Paul A. Amarante. Also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by sisters Marie Angel, Ann DiRienzo and Evelyn Carlo.
A funeral service will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue on Thursday morning at 11:30. Interment will follow in all Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm.
