RoseMarie Esposito, 85, of North Haven, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, January 22, 2024. RoseMarie was the beloved wife of 57 years to the late Michael A. Esposito. She was born on March 23, 1938 in New Haven, daughter of the late Salvatore and Rose Criscuolo Marsico. She was employed by SNET, but left to raise her family. RoseMarie was devoted to her family. Sunday dinner was where she was happiest with her family gathered around the table. She made sure she passed down her traditions to her family and we are forever grateful for her unconditional love. RoseMarie was a longtime parishioner of St. Therese Church and was deeply devoted to her faith. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Alberta Goodwin, Michael and Sarah Esposito, and Salvatore and Kate Esposito. She is also survived by her grandchildren, who were her greatest source of pride, Christopher and Kaitlyn Goodwin, Matthew Goodwin, Jessica Goodwin, Isabella Esposito, Emma Wright, and great-granddaughter, Stassia Goodwin. Sister of the late Philomena (Peter) Vollero, Alfonse Marsico, Raymond (Antoinette) Marsico, Elizabeth (Michael) DeLucia and Ann (Angelo) DeLucia. Mother-in-law to the late James Goodwin. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Theresa Marsico, Elaine (James) Salvati and Marie (Walter) Vernon along with numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the caring team of Atrium at Rocky Hill and Trinity Hospice Care for their compassionate care of our mother and grandmother. RoseMarie’s memory will be forever cherished by her family and friends who loved her.
The visiting hours will be Saturday morning, Jan. 27th from 10:00 to 11:30 at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Mike and family: so sorry for your loss. Our prayers are with you.
Alberta, my sister Kim and I just learned today about your mother’s passing. We are heartbroken for you and your family. The residents at The Atrium become extended “family” to us and we will always keep Rosie in our hearts. She was special to our mother, Ronnie, and also to Mary Kay: they loved Rosie and were often comforting her. May your memories of better times bring you joy and continuing the traditions of your Mom bring you peace. We will miss Rosie! (What a lovely picture of your Mom)
Rosie – rest in well deserved peace, whole once again in the arms of Jesus.
