Rosemary Margaret Cote died peacefully on December 2, 2021 at Hamden Health Care Center with her family by her side, after a brief illness. Rosemary was born on July 22, 1932 at Grace New Haven Hospital to Alphonse and Carmel Manacchio Cote. She was a longtime resident of Hamden before spending her last few years in North Haven.  Following graduation from Hamden High School Rosemary held a number of jobs in retail sales starting with Shartenburg’s Department Store in New Haven. She had a long career at CMS/Blue Cross Blue Shield. Rosemary loved connecting with people and made friends easily. Rosemary was dedicated to her family, doting on her niece and nephews and their children as well as caring for her mother and father as they aged. She leaves her brother John Cote Sr (Marion), her niece and nephews John Cote Jr (Ann), David Cote (Ann), Renee Wozniak (Mark) Kevin Cote (Patricia) as well as three grandnieces, five grandnephews and one great grandnephew. She was predeceased by her mother, father and sister-in-law Carol Cote.

In addition to her family Rosemary was devoted to a close circle of lifelong friends from childhood and work. With them she enjoyed attending hockey games, dining out, trips to the beach and casino as well as entertaining at home. Traveling was a favorite pastime. Rosemary especially enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, Newport, the Catskills and Bermuda. She was an avid walker and voracious reader, with a special interest in historical novels focusing on WWII and the Titanic. At Rosemary’s request there will be no funeral or memorial service.
