Sandra Maria Sacco, 62, originally of New Haven, CT entered the gates of Heaven peacefully on November 27th, 2022, while in the presence of her beloved husband and children. She was born on February 6, 1960 to her parents Peter and Catella Gaudioso of New Haven who await her in paradise. Sandra enjoyed the remaining years of her life in retirement, doing the things that made her happy. She was an avid gardener and baker and often spent her days either outdoors beautifying her yard or in the kitchen baking delicious treats from the recipes passed down from her mother. Sandra was also an avid lover of animals and cherished the unconditional love and comfort her dogs provided her. She will undoubtedly be greeted by her faithful companions and will revel in their kisses that she has missed for so long. However, what made her happier than anything else was spending time, in any way, with her family who meant so much to her. Sandra always made family a central part of her everyday life and found great joy in simply being with her husband, children, and grandchildren, as well as her many siblings, nieces, and nephews. She was loved by many for her frank personality, contagious sense of humor, and willingness to offer help whenever she was needed. Her family and friends also admired her for never losing sight of where she came from. Sandra’s appreciation and love of her roots and the people connected to them is what made so many love her. Sandra leaves behind the family she loved and nurtured throughout her life. She is survived by her beloved husband and friend, Frank Anthony Sacco, and the grown children they were so proud to raise together – Anthony Peter (David) Sacco, Nicole Marie (Danny) Colmenares, and Sandra Francis (Michael) Torres. Sandra also leaves her three beloved and cherished grandchildren who had brought her so much joy, DJ Colmenares, Joseph Torres, and Nicola Colmenares. Lastly, she leaves Romeo Jr., her furry shadow for whom she held an abundance of love. In her remaining moments, she comforted her family with the promise of a day when they’d all be together again.  Having been born into a large family of herself, Sandra is survived by many living siblings who hope to be reunited in the presence of her love. They are Pasquale (Barbara) Gaudioso, Thomas (Susan) Gaudioso, Vincent (Patricia) Gaudioso, and Kathleen (Peter) Deyo. She is predeceased by two of her brothers, Peter Gaudioso and Robert Gaudioso who will undoubtedly welcome her home with open arms.

A funeral service of love and remembrance will be held at Hope Christian Church at 211 Montowese Ave., North Haven, CT on Saturday December 3, 2022, at 11:00 AM.  In lieu of flowers, Sandra’s final request was that donations be made, at the time of her service, to the benefit of her beloved grandchildren, Joseph Torres, and Nicola Colmenares. Even in her last moments, her thoughts were of securing the future of those she loved.
