He is my big brother and always wore the mantel of responsibility for our family. He was the story teller and keeper of the memories and provided continuity for the family. My best times were when I visited and he drive me around to the old neighborhood and places of our youth, and we just talked and talked. You could trust him with your heart because he never wavered and could always be counted on. He and Willie carried on the italian tradition by opening their home and hearts and all were welcome. There was always room for another place at the table. He was jokingly called “St. Santi” and he truly was. He lived an exemplary life, enjoyed many years with Willie, raised wonderful children and was blessed with many grandchildren. The love for my brother and the loss are beyond words.
Willie So sorry for your loss. Prayers for you and your family.
I was so very saddened to hear of Sam’s passing. What a great neighbor he was! He is truly going to be missed. My thoughts, prayers and condolences are with you all. 🙏🏻❤️
Auntie Willie, Paul, Michael, Adam, and Carla,
I simply cannot find the words to express how great a man, husband, and father Uncle Sam is. His absence leaves a gap that simply cannot be filled by any one person. His example to both David and myself growing up was immense and even though we did not get to spend as much time as we had wished with the family, we always spoke of his character, strength, and tremendous example he exemplified to all those around him. I am so honored to be part of the family and to have the joy of knowing and loving Uncle Sam. He is a blessing to us, as are all of you.
All my love,
Guyo
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this sad time. Your dad was a wonderful man. Many happy memories shared. Love Jim and Sandra and Family.
Sending along all our love and thoughts and prayers to Aunt Willie and our cousins. We will miss Uncle Sam. He was always so kind and gentle. Patient. Soft spoken. I will never forget all the weekend visits to North Haven we shared as families growing up, the italian meals, sharing time with Nonni, football games with our cousins. Those memories bring both smiles and tears as I realize how lucky we all are to have been touched by his soul. May peace flow into your hearts. Love, Darryl, Deb, Nicholas and Matthew
