Sharon Collins Belanger, 79, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 23rd, 2021 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Born in New Haven on May 15, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Anne Kelleher Collins. Sharon earned an Associate degree from Albertus Magnus College, was a lover of music, but most of all she enjoyed being with her family and friends who she loved unconditionally. Mother-in-law of Dianne Belanger. Grandmother of Amanda Belanger. Sister-in-law of Donald Guenther, Sr. Aunt of Donald (Valentina) Guenther, Jr. and Anne (Paul) Lenoce. Also survived by many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Predeceased by her beloved son John Belanger, brothers Frank Collins, Jr. and Stephen Collins, sisters Claire Guenther and Corrinne Collins. The family would like to extend a “Special Thank You” to Sharon’s caregivers, Ellen and Vanessa, who later became her closest and dearest friends who gave her such excellent care and comfort.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to the office at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Avenue, North Haven on Wednesday morning, Dec. 29th at 11:45 and follow the funeral procession to the graveside for a 12 noon service.
