Sherri Frances Bassett, 54, of West Haven, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2017 at her home. Sherri was born in New Haven on September 3, 1963 and was the daughter of the late Richard and Bernice Bassett. She had worked as a waitress, bartender and caregiver in the area for many years. Sister of Richard (Jennifer) Bassett and Daniel Bassett. Aunt of Katie (Phil) Langin, Julie (Zac) King-Smith, Desiree, Adam, Justin and Jessica Bassett.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, September 28th from 6 to 8 pm in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Funeral services and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the North Haven Rotary Club, P.O. Box 202, North Haven, CT 06473.

My Dear Sherry , It has been 10 long months since you have not been with us. In my dream you stop in briefly and no words were exchanged but I knew you were happy. We all morn you and wish that we could have just one more moment. You are resting at your favorite place …I just wish so much that you were still with us all here. We had plans that never had a chance to grow. I miss you Sherry and I really need you , I miss your smile the joy you brought to your older brother Dan. Not a days has gone buy without thinking about you and remembering your laugh. you were the little sister who acted like the older sister and he loved every minute. You are sadly missed you made this world a nicer place.
