Silvio DeSisto, 75, of Northford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 2nd, 2023, at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford with his family by his side.  He was the beloved husband of Andrea Lucibella DeSisto. Silvio was born in Piedimonte, Alife, Italy on January 1, 1948, and was the son of the late Joseph and Maria Grillo DeSisto. A barber all of his life, Silvio started cutting hair at the age of nine and was very proud that he had his own barber business at age eleven in Italy.  He came to this country in 1964 settling in West Haven.  He owned and operated Silvio’s Barbershop in West Haven for many years and later co-owned Phil’s Barbershop in New Haven. Silvio was also the owner of Paesano’s Imports in West Haven for many years.  He was a member of the Alife Society and Club Napoli in Northford. Silvio enjoyed his many trips to the casinos and playing cards with family and friends. He always looked forward to cruising to various countries with his wife. Father of Van DeSisto (Carey) and Gina DePino (Patrick).  Poppy of six grandchildren, who he adored: Isabella, Nicolas and Brandon DeSisto, Gianna, Lucian and Payton DePino.  Brother of Pasquale DeSisto (Giovanna), Maria Iasalvatore, Arturo DeSisto and predeceased by the late Teresa DePalma, Luigi, Fernando and Albert DeSisto.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The visiting hours will be Thursday, July 6th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven on Friday morning, July 7th at 10:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in the All Saints Mausoleum.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
