Susan (Sue) T. Paolillo Mirabella, 90, of East Haven, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 17th, 2023, at her home with her family by her side.  Susan was born in New Haven on July 6, 1932, and was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary Esposito Paolillo.  She had worked for the former Rockbestos Company of New Haven and later the former Chloride Corporation of North Haven.  Susan volunteered at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford for many years. Very devoted to her religion, she was a parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at St. Therese Church/St. Elizabeth Parish in North Haven. Susan opened her heart and her home to her family and friends who she loved unconditionally, always loved cooking, and entertaining them, especially Christmas time and all other holidays.  Susan was a New York Yankees and UConn Basketball fan.  Mother of Stephen S. (Maria) Mirabella, Mary Gambardella, Mark Mirabella, Vincent Mirabella. Sister of Michael Paolillo, the late Vincent and Salvatore Paolillo.  Grandmother of Alyssa Mirabella, Matthew Mirabella, Dominic (Christine) Gambardella, Michele (John) Gambardella, Susan (Paulo) Dalmoura, Jack Mirabella, Mark Mirabella, Katie Mirabella. Great Grandmother of Briella Gambardella and Aila Gambardella. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sue’s caregiver Jackie for all her care, support and friendship.

The visiting hours will be Tuesday, Feb. 21st from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Avenue, North Haven on Wednesday morning, Feb. 22nd at 10:00.  Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Connecticut Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.
