Susan V. Idarola, 95, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the Masonicare Health Center, Wallingford. She was born in New Haven on January 15, 1923 and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Carmela Ciaburri Idarola. She had worked as an export secretary for the former Strause-Adler Company of New Haven. Susan was an active member of St. John the Evangelist and former president of 1st Friday Crusade. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed her many trips to Florida with her cousin Marie C. Milazzo. Sister-in-law of Paula Idarola.. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Robert Idarola.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue on Thursday, December 27th at 12 noon with the Reverend Timothy Meehan officiating. Interment will immediately follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.
