I wish to express my sincerest condolences to Carl and his family. Suzanne was the kindest, fairest, and most cheerful person to grace the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Yale. She supported, guided and nurtured dozens of young doctors aspiring to become cardio-thoracic surgeons. In doing so, Suzanne positively impacted the lives of thousands of patients in the United States and in many corners of the world. What a beautiful legacy!

Our hearts are broken, for life will never be the same without her! No words can explain Suzanne other than “Larger than Life”. I will be forever grateful to her for she has changed my life in the most positive ways. She is the strongest woman I know, who fought the toughest fight, to the end. God bless her family she so deeply treasured, until we all meet again.

Mr. G., Millie, and family. So sorry for your loss. For about 15 years Suzanne was the first call I got early every morning here at Yale.
Best,

Our deepest condolences to the entire family and especially cousin Mildred. Suzanne had that special sparkle which so many of our Harrison cousins have had through the generations. She was an amazing role model. RIP.
Dear Carl, Stephen, Douglas and family.
I knew Suzanne for thirty years, from our early years when she was ward secretary in the CTICU and I was ward secretary on 6-3, to our time in the Cardiothoracic Surgery office, to our occasional get-togethers with the girls to catch up on each other’s lives. She was an amazing woman and I will miss her very much. Our little group of “old timers” will never be the same. I will think of her often and smile with the memory of her..
My thoughts and prayers for you and your family, Doug.
Carl, Steven and Douglas,
We’re heartbroken for all of you . We have so many happy memories of the times we spent together when Chris and Steven played hockey . Carl, we wish we could be there with you .
To Carl and sons and all who loved her; Suzanne and I (Janice) would often see one another on Sunday at Mass. Our sons shared the love of playing ice hockey while in grade school and high school. So we would reminisce. Our connection grew as we discovered we both were being treated at Smilow Cancer Hospital. Suzanne was always upbeat and positive about her illness, and always concerned about how I was doing. She was brave, caring and a genuinely lovely person. I will miss her. Rest now, Suzanne
