Thea Ann Deptula Oren, 78, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at her home with her family by her side with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 59 years to Harold “Bud” Oren. Thea was born in New Haven on July 16th, 1943 and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Estelle Zlotkowski Deptula. She had worked as an Operating Room Surgical Technician at St. Raphael’s Hospital and later at the former Windsor Shoppe of North Haven. Thea volunteered her time making shawls at St. Raphael’s Hospital and for many babies. Mother of Robert Oren (Tammy), Bruce Oren (Kristi), David Oren (Irene) and Michael Oren (Heather). Sister of Dorothy Jacobs, Carol Rubino, Joseph Deptula (Paula) and the late William Deptula. Also survived by eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, www.aspca.org/ways-to-give. Services where privately held.

Bud & family, I worked with Thea the last 10 years of the Windsor Shop, she was a great person. We had fun eating brownies in the “bullpen” shhhh don’t tell Bob & Gary. Thea also help with the craft booth @ St Barnabas Holiday Festival with me. Thea gave bountifully of her Time, Treasure & Talent in everything she did.
