Theodore G. Peters, Jr, 84, of East Haven passed away peacefully on Monday December 26, 2016 at the Hamden Health Care Center with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 59 years to Mary Breymayer Peters.  Theodore was born in East Haven on July 6, 1932; son of the late Theodore G. Peters, Sr. and Catherine Pochodowicz Peters; served his country faithfully in the US Army during the Korean war receiving the Purple Heart; had worked as a Plant Facilities Engineer for Southern Connecticut State University for 25 years until his retirement in 1994; was a driver for Connecticut Limousine for many years; was a member of the New Apostolic Church;  the D.A.V.,  the Elm City Gun Club, V.F.W. Post #9422, West Haven and loved his camp in Maine.  Father of Theodore G. (Leslie) Peters III, Heidi (Douglas) English, Alison and Kelly Peters.  Grandfather of Theodore G. Peters IV, Douglas English, Jr., Kirsten M. English, Malachi “Max” Peters and Ireland G. Knapper.  Brother of Gloria Peters, Arthur (Nancy) Peters and the late Corine Masterson, Beverly Rice, Barbara Going and Constance Scholefield. 

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Tuesday evening at 8:00 in the New Apostolic Church, 922 Greenway Road, Woodbridge. Interment will be private in All Saints Cemetery.  The visiting hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 pm in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the V.A.
