Theresa R. Vitelli Ross, 94, of East Haven, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the beloved wife of 68 years to the late Francis S. Ross, Sr. Theresa was born in West Haven on June 25, 1927, a daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine Festa Vitelli. Theresa had worked for Stop & Shop for many years, loved watching westerns and spending time with her family who she loved unconditionally. Beloved mother of Joseph (Jane Fiorentino) Ross, Kathleen (Alphonse) Nazario and the late Francis S. Ross, Jr. Also survived by 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to Saint Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 355 Foxon Road, East Haven on Friday morning, Dec. 17th at 11:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and also invited to attend the committal services immediately following in All Saints Cemetery. Mom Ross I want to thank you for taking me into your home. I appreciate everything you have done for me. I know we had are differences,but I love very much .You became a second mother to me. You made me feel like family. You were a beautiful and amazing woman who loved and prayed for everyone. I thank you for such a wonderful son and a amazing family that I can call mine.
