Thomas A. McClure, 83, of Killingworth, formerly of North Haven passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Marilyn Cox McClure. Thomas was born in East Haven on April 16, 1933; son of the late Lawrence and Mildred Burnham McClure; he grew up and lived in North Haven for over 80 years before moving to Killingworth; graduated from Lyman Hall High School; had worked as a Telephone Repairman for S.N.E.T.; was a big Red Sox fan, enjoyed playing cards, golfing, bowling and all outdoor activities. Father of Patricia McClure, Thomas (Debi) McClure, Kevin McClure and Kim (Lawrence) Pollack. Grandfather of Jena Wooding, Jeremy, Amy & Keith McClure, Alex and Emily Pollack. Brother of Ronald McClure and the late Lawrence McClure. He was predeceased by his second wife Audrey McClure.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Tuesday morning at 9:30. A funeral service will be conducted in the North Haven Bible Church at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Monday from 5 to 7 pm. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the North Haven Bible Church, 161 Mill Road, North Haven, CT 06473.
