Thomas E. McCue, 70, born May 15, 1951, passed away on April 1, 2022.  A Hamden resident for many years, he was predeceased by his parents, Edward “Mac” McCue and Gloria Palmieri McCue.  He was also predeceased by his loving wife, Linda A. Johnson McCue.  Tom’s parents were both Air Force veterans, Edward, a doctor, and Gloria, a nurse, married, and had their only child Thomas while stationed in Japan. They lived in Pennsylvania and  Colorado  before moving to Connecticut, where Gloria had been raised.  He attended school in the New Haven area, and graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a degree in Liberal Arts.  At the time of his death, Tom was a caregiver for Companions & Homemakers, where he provided compassionate companion and transportation services to needy elderly residents.  Most of his career was spent in the Communications Department at Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield in North Haven CT, and subsequently in Wallingford CT, when the corporation relocated.  Tom was an avid animal lover and gun enthusiast.  He and Linda adopted many cats and provided loving homes for them, during the course of their marriage. Tom’s love of his beautiful wife Linda was only surpassed by his love of God, and his church. He leaves a cousin Jackie Ray of Richmond Virginia, and a sister-in-law Patricia A. Alston, of Middletown, Connecticut.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 5, at 4pm, at Hope Christian Church, 211 Montowese Avenue, North Haven, Connecticut 06473. If so desired, a contribution may be made to the church in Thomas E. McCue’s memory.
