Thomasina Marenna Alfano, 75, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 47 years to Joseph J. Alfano, Jr. Thomasina was born in New Haven on January 4, 1942 and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Concetta M. Marenna. She had attended East Haven High School and worked as a seamstress for the former Colonial Quilt of New Haven. Thomasina enjoyed playing bingo, frequent trips to the Mohegan Sun Casino but most of all enjoyed her family whom she loved unconditionally. Beloved mother of Michael Alfano. Grandmother of Joseph Alfano, Madison, CJ, Ashleigh, Evan, Autumn and Allison. Sister of Judy Esposito, Donna Esposito, Rosalie Marenna, Judy Clark and the late Joseph and Ralph Marenna.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Thursday morning September 7th at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Wednesday, Sept. 6th from 5 to 8 pm.

To Joe and family, I am so sorry about Nonnie. I’ve only known you all for a short time but I feel I’ve known you all my life. In my heart you are family even though we aren’t bonded by blood, I will miss her every day, she gave me so much joy. I can hear that laugh of hers as I write this. To hollow leg…much respect and love, the world has lost one of the best and Heaven definitly gained an angel.
