Valentino “Packy” Ferro, 82, of Northford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at his home with his family by his side.  He was the beloved husband of 42 years to Wanda Hugli Ferro.  Packy was born in the Wooster Street area of New Haven on August 12, 1935 and was the son of the late Michael and Annette Nastri Ferro. A member of the Teamsters Local #443 until his retirement. He then worked as a driver for CT Limousine and also drove privately for many different clients. .  Packy was an antique car enthusiast having gone to many car shows.  He also enjoyed music, playing his harmonica and keyboard, writing poetry, horseracing, recreational gambling and traveling with family and friends of which Italy was his favorite.  Father of Mark Ferro, Daniel Ferro, Matthew (Michele) Ferro, Dean Ferro and Dana (Michael) Fassnacht.  Grandfather of Jordan Ferro, Madison, Camryn and Chase Fassnacht, who he adored more than life itself. In addition, his aunt Rose Drace of Fairfield and his former wife Isabella Ferro and many extended family members and loving friends. Packy is one person that touched so many lives. His kind and generous spirit, humor and good nature will be deeply missed. 

His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Thursday morning at 9:30. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Therese Church at 10:00.  Entombment will follow in the All Saints Mausoleum.  The visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm.
