Vera DeCola Inguaggiato, 100, formerly of North Haven, peacefully entered into eternal rest on May 10, 2021, at Chesterfield Care Center in Chester, CT.  She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony “Tutt” Inguaggiato.  She was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Maria DeCola.  She was predeceased by her two brothers, Paul DeCola and Richard DeCola, her sister Helen Malerba and her dear friend Barbara Guerra.  She is survived by her two nieces, Sandy Carter, and Maryann Ranciato, her two nephews, Paul DeCola and Richard DeCola and many great nieces and nephews. Vera was born in the Foxon section of New Haven on December 23, 1920 and lived there for many years.  Vera was a kind and generous daughter and wife who loved and cared for her family throughout her lifetime.  She worked as a cafeteria aide at Wilbur Cross High School for many years and retired after many years of service.  She enjoyed dancing, golf and playing bocce.  She and her husband had many friends and traveled on vacation with them.  They later moved to North Haven and eventually retired to Citrus Springs, Florida. Vera was the first member in her family to celebrate 100 years old. Birthday celebrations were held in her 99th and 100th year at Chesterfield Care Center.  At her 100th year celebration she received a special blessing from Rev. Scott Morrow, minister of the North Haven Congregational Church and a special citation in her honor from North Haven First Selectman Michael Freda.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at the North Haven Congregational Church.
