Vickey R. Koontz Acosta, 64 of Bethany passed away peacefully on Friday, December 22nd, 2023 at Yale New Hospital with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Alejandro Acosta. Vickey was born in New Haven on June 5, 1959, and was the daughter of the late Ronald E. and Julia M. Lye Koontz. She worked for the Athenian Dinner in New Haven and later for Option Care as a Referal Coordinator. Vickey enjoyed cooking, baking, catering, but most of all being with her grandchildren who she loved unconditionally. Mother of Robert Marchitto (Kate), Jessica Bernardo (Jordan) and Lisa Sansone (Justin). Also survived by eight grandchildren and two on the way. Sister of Marion Suprano (Leslie), Gary Koontz (Donna Brown) Philip Koontz and the late Eric Stebbins and Russell Koontz.
The visiting hours will be Wednesday, Dec. 27th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Catholic parlor service will be conducted on Thursday morning, Dec. 28th at 10:00 in the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.

Vicky started her journey to be with our Heavenly Father. Vicky was a kind, and beautiful woman, always had a smile. She loved her family unconditionally. I only knew her a short time, but I enjoyed her company. She will be truly missed. May she forever rest in peace.
