Vincent DiCarlo Sr., 76, of Ansonia, formerly of West Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 8th, 2021 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford.  He was the beloved husband of 53 years to MaryAnn Cappiello DiCarlo.  Vincent was born in Cercemaggiore, Province of Campo Basso, Italy on March 6, 1945 and was the son of the late Pasquale and Jenny Spino DiCarlo. Vincent was a graduate of James Hillhouse High School and was a master plumber with the UA Local #777 Plumbers and Pipefitters and served as treasurer for their retiree club.  He was a member of the Campania Club, New Haven for many years.  Vincent was the owner and operator of the former DiCarlo Plumbing Service and had worked for many area plumbing companies until his retirement.  He was an avid bowler for over 50 years, playing at Amity Lanes in Woodbridge and Milford Bowlero.  Vincent traveled the country for national bowling tournaments and won the CT Senior Champion in 2019.   Vincent enjoyed traveling with his wife over the years and especially loved the National Parks out West.   He was a loving father of Valerie Geer and her husband Walter, Vincent DiCarlo Jr., and his wife Cheryl.  Grandfather to the light of his life Olivia Ann Geer who he loved unconditionally.  Brother of Anthony DiCarlo and his wife Patricia, Connie DiCarlo, and her husband Benny.  Also survived by his brother-in-law Ralph Cappiello and his wife Jo-Ann, many loving nephews, nieces, and cousins. 

Family and friends are invited to go directly to Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 81 Center Road, Woodbridge on Monday April 12th at 12 noon to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in the Saint Lawrence Mausoleum, West Haven.  (masks and social distancing required for all services) In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 825 Brook Street, I-91 Tech Court #3, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
