Virginia E. (McDonald) Breda-Stusik, 93, formerly of North Haven passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at the Regency House, Wallingford with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Mitchell Stusik and the love of her life Andrew Breda. Virginia was born in New Haven on December 10, 1923; daughter of the late James and Anne Potts McDonald. She had worked for the New Haven Public School System Cafeteria Department for many years until her retirement and was a member of the North Haven Senior Center. Mother of Marianne (Anthony) Corvino, Carol Torello and Steve (Patricia) Breda. Grandmother of Elizabeth Corvino, Christopher (Laura) Corvino, Marc (Candida) Torello, Jason (Tanya) Torello, Andrew (Tasha) Breda and Angela (Jon) Mason. Great-Grandmother of Kevin Moritis, Alexandra & Will Neves, Christopher Corvino, Samantha & Jaycen Torello and Rory Mason. Predeceased by her son-in-law, Robert Torello and a sister, Christine Coyle.

Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Frances Cabrini Church, 57 Pond Hill Road, North Haven on Saturday morning at 10:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN  38101-9929 or the Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA  01104. The North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
