Virginia F. Stone Miner, 93, formerly of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the Masonicare, Wallingford with her family by her side. Virginia was born in Guilford on June 10, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Jesse and Gladys Handy Stone. She had worked at Yale-New Haven Hospital in the food service department for many years until her retirement. Virginia enjoyed gatherings and playing bingo with family and friends. Mother of Royce “Skip” Clark, Nicholas Candido, Herbert “Bert” Shepard and the late Robert Candido, Linda Candido Capp and Howard Shepard. Sister of Arlene Stone Wrightington, Lois Woodward and Roy Stone. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters.
A funeral service will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue on Sunday afternoon at 3:00. Family and friends may attend a memorial gathering from 1:00 until time of service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
